Textile mills often need UPS support for controls, automation, IT and selected production systems, while stabilizers handle voltage regulation for larger machinery loads.
Separate UPS loads from stabilizer loads
Large production motors usually need voltage regulation rather than battery backup. UPS should be reserved for critical controls, IT, PLCs, monitoring, testing equipment and systems that need controlled shutdown or uninterrupted operation.
Capacity planning
Prepare a load list with equipment watts or kVA, required backup time and criticality. For textile mills, the UPS architecture may combine centralized UPS for controls with smaller local UPS systems for specific departments.
